Lisa began her career in healthcare, where she worked for 22+ years. Lisa has always had a servant’s heart and enjoys helping people and making a difference in their lives. In her healthcare career she worked in the optometry field; for a large group benefits provider; as a medical practice administrator; and has assisted with regulatory compliance for clinical drug trials.
At the urging of a close friend, Lisa followed her talents and her heart and entered the financial services industry in 2002. She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and has studied at the University of Alabama, Kennedy Western University, The Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, and The American College. She holds Series 6, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as-well-as, life and health insurance licenses.
As a former personal financial counselor, Lisa provided personal financial counseling to military families in Alabama with a call for focusing on the unique financial needs of women. She knows there are many changes that come along throughout one’s working career and their retirement years are no different. For most people, retirement brings its own set of challenges and adjustments.
Lisa assists Derrell with specialized investment research, investment tracking, and technical management for clients’ investments. Lisa supports Derrell to ensure financial strategies are flexible enough to change when life changes, yet solid enough to weather life’s storms.
Lisa and her husband, Mike, live in McCalla, AL and are empty nesters who enjoy spending time together and being involved in their church. When time allows, they like to travel and partner together on projects around the house. She has two grown ‘bonus’ children and five ‘bonus’ grandchildren. Lisa considers her life to be full and blessed.
